Why learn BSL with us?
Courses available, from Foundation, all the way to NVQ Level 6

Since 2007, we have helped many students achieve their goals. From learning the basics of British Sign Language (BSL) on our Foundation course, continuing up to a Level 6 NVQ Certificate in BSL. In 2019 we are launching our own BSL interpreting courses.

The Centre was known as the Fylde Coast BSL Centre from 2007- August 2022. September 2022 the Centre rebranded to Sign Core BSL Training Centre.

As the Centre has grown, we are no longer solely based in the Fylde Coast and felt the change will help our students present and future identify with our brand in the marketplace.

British Sign Language (BSL) is one of Britain’s approved languages and is used by around 125,000 people using it on a daily basis, whether at home in family units or at work. Learning the basics of BSL should be interesting and fun, but if you are serious about the language, you can go on and obtain higher qualifications – perhaps for work, or perhaps you have a Deaf family. This often needs dedication but can be very rewarding.

Our courses are run in a relaxed, friendly and encouraging environment where the length of the courses range from one day (Basic Deaf Awareness) to one year in duration.

We keep the size of all classes small and intimate in order to provide maximum support and as much individual tutor attention as possible. As well as teaching a range of courses at the centre, we also provide training to schools and to public service personnel at a time and venue to suit the company.
