I have been highly impressed by the level of teaching and the high standard of professionalism since commencing my NVQ Level 3 BSL course at The Fylde Coast BSL Centre, Blackpool.

 

From the very first lesson the entire class was made to feel extremely welcome and the open and warm atmosphere created by Janice, the tutor, was very conducive to learning. The course content was made clear from the outset and the classes are well-structured, with different activities and topics organised in order to encourage class participation and broaden our vocabulary. In fact, we recently had a guest speaker provide a lecture on the linguistics of BSL – I found this very insightful and interesting.

 

Both Janice and her PCA, Michelle, have been extremely supportive and the communication both within and outside of class is excellent. They have both made the class feel that nothing is too much trouble and that they can be contacted at any time should we have any queries relating to the portfolio or other matters. Indeed, they have gone the extra mile by providing extra assistance with the portfolio paperwork, which everyone has appreciated.

 

I am thoroughly enjoying learning in such a positive and supportive environment. My BSL skills have definitely improved too.  I cannot recommend The Fylde Coast BSL Centre highly enough!
